Based on the authority's data, the average prices of goods and services on the Saudi market in September included 169 items in 10 categories.
In September, the local medium potato was the most expensive commodity in the food and beverage section, with a price rise rate of 65.95 percent, followed by local frozen chicken with a price increase of 36.22 percent. During the period, the American cardamom remained at the bottom of the goods list with a price decrease of 20.10 percent, followed by the Indian cardamom with a decrease of 15.68 percent.
There was an increase in the price of 27 commodities in the construction goods section, which included 38 commodities, and a decrease in the price of 11 commodities during September, compared to September 2021.
The price of ten types of fodder and live animals rose in September compared to the same period last year, whereas the price of one type of fodder and live animals decreased.
During September, all commodity prices in the clothing section, which includes ten commodities, increased. GASTAT reported that all miscellaneous personal goods and services prices increased in September 2022, according to data from the miscellaneous personal goods and services section.
