Saudi health authorities say 3 kilograms of hair were removed from the stomach of a female patient.
The King Abdulaziz Specialised Hospital in Al Jouf in north Saudi Arabia removed the hair in a "successful" operation.
On Twitter, the directorate said the woman was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pains.
The woman's stomach was found to have a hair mass weighing 3 kilograms after she underwent necessary medical imaging and examinations.
The hospital's medical team decided to remove her hair through surgery, authorities said
