A non-Saudi wife of a Saudi citizen can continue to file an exception request to register with the updated social security system according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD). Clarification was given due to the expiration of the ministry's earlier deadline on Nov. 30.

It was pointed out by the ministry that the citizen's wife can make this request by contacting the relevant call centers or visiting the nearest social security office.

On the 27th of every month, the updated social security system will announce the eligibility results after completing all the required data, comparing it with other parties, and analyzing it.

Earlier this year, the ministry had activated the updated social security system which ensures adequate support to the most needy and deserving Saudi families and individuals.

By providing adequate support for such families to meet their basic needs, the updated system aims to achieve social security.

Between May 23 and Nov. 30, 2022, those eligible to register in the updated system must submit their applications.

To achieve social protection goals, the updated system provides cash support, rehabilitation and training services, along with empowerment and employment services.
