Saudi Arabia's Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has confiscated 151,139 Captagon pills hidden in cars entering the Kingdom through Hadithah Port.
Al Arabiya News quoted the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as reporting that authorities had found 43,000 pills in a vehicle, 45,349 pills in the air compressor tank of another vehicle, and 62,790 pills in a third vehicle's radiator.
As SPA reiterated, the authority will continue to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports through all its customs outlets and thwart any attempts by smugglers.
The ZATCA has urged the public to help combat drug trafficking to protect the Kingdom by filing reports using the hotline (1910), e-mail ([email protected]), or the authority's international number (00966114208417).
Informers who provide accurate information about smuggling crimes will be rewarded financially if the information is proved to be accurate, according to the authority.
