10 Expats Arrested In Riyadh Over Knife Fight
Category: Crime News

10 Yemeni expatriates were arrested by Saudi police in Riyadh after a mass brawl left two people injured.

According to police, an unspecified dispute sparked a quarrel between them, resulting in knives being swung.

Their arrests were made, legal procedures were followed, and they were referred to public prosecution.

In recent weeks, Saudi authorities have arrested several people in connection with various violence cases and law-breaking incidents.

Last week, the Riyadh police said they had arrested an unspecified number of people suspected of involvement in a car hit-and-run incident in Al Kharj governorate, south east of the Saudi capital. The violence, due to an unspecified row, left two dead and two others wounded.

One man was killed and another injured last week after police robbed SR1 million from a vehicle for money transfers in Riyadh.

Police chased the suspected robbers, damaged their car, and forced them to leave. The duo seized another car after shooting and injuring its driver, police said. In response, police exchanged fire with the culprits, resulting in the killing of one of them, injuring and arresting the other. The robbed money was retrieved from them.

The police in Riyadh arrested two people earlier this month after one shot in the air and the other filmed and posted the unlawful act on social media.
