The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has set 14 days must for Umrah pilgrims before booking for another date, The Umrah booking app 'Eatmarna' is going to launch soon for Android.

It is allowed to perform Umrah twice for pilgrims, but they must wait for 14 days for performing it again. In order to give a chance to everyone to perform Umrah in line with the necessary precautionary measures of Covid-19 said the ministry's chief planning and strategy officer.

- The ministry is studying the available spots that can be used by the pilgrims to perform Umrah by maintaining social distancing and ensuring health protocols.

- He said, as of now 35,000 requests have been registered for Umrah. Pilgrims about to start performing Umrah from 4th October in the first phase of Umrah plan, in line with health protocols and procedures.

- In the first phase, pilgrims will perform Umrah at 6 different times in a day, giving each pilgrim 3 hours to perform their rituals said the minister with Arab News.

- The minister also said that between the sunset and evening prayers, pilgrims will not be allowed to perform Umrah instead this time is allocated to cleaning and disinfecting.

- Pilgrims will be allowed to perform Umrah at midnight, with the place disinfected before the arrival of each group.

- Each group will be accompanied by supervisor who will make sure that pilgrims respect physical distancing and follow instructions and a pre-adopted timeline. Isolation rooms will be provided at the central area's hotels to handle any suspected cases.

- The Andorid app was supposed to be launched first, but due to Android policies it delayed. The App was presented to both Andorid and Apple at same time. Apple completed the procedures earlier.

- The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheik Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdul Aziz Al Al Sheikh revealed the ministry's readiness to Umrah performers in all Miqats as per the approved health protocols.
