Umrah pilgrims from several countries can enter the Kingdom easier now with the visa-on-arrival service launched by Saudi Arabia. The new visa-on-arrival system allows pilgrims from eligible countries to enter the Kingdom through sea, air, or land routes. The list of eligible countries includes citizens of over 10 to 12 countries.
Umrah pilgrims will benefit from the new system because it streamlines visa applications and facilitates entry into the kingdom. Pilgrims arriving from the following countries are eligible to obtain visa-on-arrival;
United States
United Kingdom
European Union countries
Australia
New Zealand
Singapore
Malaysia
South Korea
Japan
Kazakhstan
Brunei
China
Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia extended the duration of the Umrah visa to 90 days. Saudi Arabia's minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, said more places would be made available to pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah.
