Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued an order to provide 300,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an from the King Fahd Holy Qur’an Printing Complex in Madinah to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday night.

The General President for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais valued the King’s order to provide the two holy mosques with 300,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an. Of these, 200,000 will be for the Grand Mosque and 100,000 for the Prophet’s Mosque.

The objective is to have sufficient copies of the Holy Qur’an in the two holy mosques for worshipers to read and recite from.

Sheikh Al-Sudais called on the pertinent bodies in the General Presidency to begin receiving the Holy Qur’an copies and make them available for the worshipers.

Al-Sudais added: “The worshipers and visitors to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque are used to this valuable gift and generous care by the leaders of this blessed country, since the era of the late Founder King Abdul Aziz until the current prosperous era of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. May Allah make the Kingdom’s security and stability eternal.”
