Streamlined Service Certificate For Private Sector Workers Launched On Qiwa Platform
Category: Expats

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has introduced the "Service Certificate (Experience Certificate)" on the Qiwa platform, simplifying the process for private sector workers.

Experience certificates, crucial when transitioning jobs, are now easily accessible through individual accounts on the Qiwa website. Workers can download the certificate upon the conclusion of their employment contract, eliminating the need to wait for companies to issue them.

This innovation addresses the challenge of obtaining service certificates, often required for job transitions in the private sector, where some businesses may be hesitant to provide them. With Qiwa, this service is now efficiently accessible without requiring the company's permission.

The certificate serves as an official record, allowing workers to demonstrate their work experience in private companies to relevant parties in Saudi Arabia.

Upon the termination of employment, the Qiwa platform enables workers to obtain their Service Certificate online, streamlining the process and enhancing the ability to showcase valuable experience.

The MHRSD, through the Qiwa platform, aims to enhance the work environment, fostering stability and aligning with global best practices. With over 130 automatic services for the private sector, the goal is to provide all labor law services digitally, safeguarding the rights of both workers and companies.

The Qiwa Electronic Platform, managed by the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development, seeks to make the job market more stable and appealing, protecting the rights of workers and companies. The platform offers digital services for Human Resources and Social Development growth, contributing to a more efficient job market.

As part of Qiwa's initiatives, there is a focus on monitoring businesses involved in training Saudi workers for "Saudization." Reports on private businesses' training activities should be added to Qiwa by the year-end, as mandated by Minister Ahmed Alrajhi. Failure to comply may result in penalties such as fines, reinforcing the commitment to Saudization and workforce development.
