In all regions of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the start of Saudization for the professions of secretarial, translation, stock keeper, and data entry from the 8th of May, 2020.

Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development On 18th Rabi Al-Awwal, 1443, Eng Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi issued a ministerial order to localize the professions of secretarial, translation, stock-keeping, and data entry in all Saudi Arabian provinces.

This is in line with the ministry's goal of providing an appropriate and refreshing work environment for both Saudi males and Saudi females, and expanding their participation in the labor market.

In order to calculate in Saudization percentages for translators and stock keepers, there has been a decision to limit these professions to Saudis in private companies, with a minimum salary of 5,000 riyals.

From the 7th Shawwal 1443 (8th May 2022), the Minister's decision will come into effect and it will provide over 20,000 jobs for men and women.

To make sure the establishment's compliance with the decision, the Ministry also issued a procedural guide. Packages and incentives will be offered by the ministry to support private sector companies in hiring Saudis.
