The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia revealed the mechanism for switching between Corona vaccines approved in the Kingdom between Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the mechanism of switching between vaccines developed with different technologies is not new in the science of developing vaccines, as it has been used since 1990.

- The Health Ministry explained that, switching is safe and effective, it leads to a greater immune response, and contributes in protecting against complications from the virus (Covid-19).

- The ministry also confirmed that it is allowed to switch between the 12 to 18 year old group between the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, while for adults, it will be allowed to switch between AstraZeneca and Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna, and Pfizer and Moderna.
