Border Guard patrols in the Al-Ardah sector of the Jazan region have arrested an Ethiopian national for violating Saudi Arabia’s border security regulations after he was allegedly caught attempting to smuggle a large quantity of drugs.

According to security authorities, the suspect was carrying 65,685 prescription pills and 60 kilograms of hashish as part of the alleged smuggling attempt.

Authorities stated that the initial legal procedures against the violator had been completed. The suspect, along with the seized items, was handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal action.

Security authorities have urged members of the public to report any information related to drug trafficking or distribution activities.
