Saudi Arabia Banned Imports Of Live Birds From Bulgaria

Saudi Arabia has banned imports of live birds, hatching eggs and chicks from Bulgaria due to the outbreak of the Highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N8).
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced the ban, in compliance with the notice issued by The World Organisation for Animal Health.
The ministry reposted two new H5N8 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number to 166 since the outbreak of the avian disease.
The Saudi authorities culled 20,285 live birds over the past 24 hours as a preventive measure.
