The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has unveiled a series of decisions to elevate Saudization rates in 269 professions across various sectors. This initiative aims to provide more stimulating and productive job opportunities for Saudi citizens throughout the Kingdom.
Pharmacy Sector
Effective from July 27, 2025, the following Saudization rates will be implemented in the pharmacy sector:
- Community Pharmacies and Medical Complexes: 35% Saudization
- Hospital Pharmacies: 65% Saudization
- Other Pharmacy Activities: 55% Saudization
This applies to establishments employing five or more workers in pharmacy professions.
Dentistry Professions
The Saudization of dentistry professions will occur in two phases:
- First Phase: 45% Saudization effective from July 27, 2025
- Second Phase: 55% Saudization, 12 months after the first phase
This decision targets establishments with three or more workers in dentistry professions and sets a minimum wage of SAR 9,000 for these roles.
Accounting Professions
Starting from October 27, 2025, Saudization in accounting professions will be implemented over five phases spanning five years:
- First Phase: 40% Saudization
- Final Phase: 70% Saudization
This applies to establishments employing five or more accountants.
Engineering Technical Professions
Beginning July 27, 2025, there will be a 30% Saudization rate in engineering technical professions. This decision affects private sector establishments with five or more workers in these roles.
These measures align with the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the Labor Market Strategy, aiming to support national competencies and increase employment opportunities for Saudi citizens across various sectors.
