The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia has issued directives to allow direct entry of fully vaccinated expatriates into Kingdom from countries facing travel ban, revealed the Saudi Embassy in Cairo.
According to the sources, the diplomatic missions of the concerned countries have received the direction on this decision.
- The Saudi Embassy in Cairo tweeted, "The suspension of direct entry to the Kingdom from the suspended countries has been lifted for residents of the Kingdom who received two doses of the Corona vaccine inside the Kingdom before leaving the country". 
- The tweet continued stating, "allowing Saudi residents to return to Kingdom directly with all the approved precautionary measures".

- This decision will be applicable only to those expatriates who left Saudi Arabia on Exit Re-Entry visa after receiving two doses of vaccine against Covid-19 in the Kingdom.
- Countries which are facing travel ban as of now are, India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Lebanon, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa and Ethiopia.
- The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia confirmed that the return of resident expatriates coming from the suspended countries, who received two doses of the Corona vaccine inside the Kingdom before leaving the country, were allowed to return.
- The Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh welcomes the decision of the Saudi Government to allow direct travel from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia for the holders of Iqama and who received 2 doses of Corona vaccine inside the Kingdom, before leaving the country.
- Meanwhile, Indian Embassy tweeted "Indian Embassy is pleased to inform that Saudi Authorities have announced that Indian nationals who have travelled to India after receiving two doses of the vaccine in Kingdom will be able to return to Kingdom directly without need of quarantine in any third country".
