Qiwa's New Feature: Paying Workers On A Percentage Basis
Category: Expats

The Qiwa platform, managed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, has recently introduced innovative features, one of which is the "type of salary" option when employers and employees sign a work contract on the platform.

With this feature, employers can specify the basic salary, whether it's a fixed minimum of 400 Saudi Riyals or an amount based on a certain percentage. This percentage, detailed under the calculation rule, enables employees to receive a portion of their salary based on sales, profits, or the work they contribute.

According to Article 2 of the Saudi Labor Law, the basic salary encompasses all compensation workers receive in exchange for their labor, irrespective of the contract type or payment method. This includes any periodic bonuses granted to employees.

In recent updates, the Qiwa platform has enhanced security by implementing two-step account verification. The introduction of these new features is a result of these improvements.

One notable change is the ability for employers to generate Wage Protection Certificates. System administrators on the Qiwa platform can now print these certificates in just three simple steps.

To utilize this feature, log in to your company's account, navigate to the business's information or services, and select "Wages Protection System Certificate" under certificates. The same steps can be followed to print the Nationalization Certificate.

Another new addition is the salary identification column, allowing companies to agree to receive salary certificates from employees. These certificates contain essential information about payment and length of service. Companies can also track Saudization accounts every 26 weeks, whether they are instant or cumulative.

The Qiwa platform aims to provide comprehensive online work system services, safeguard the rights of both employers and workers, and create a stable and appealing work environment.
