The Makkah Education Department has announced the suspension of in-person classes for students in all schools in Makkah city, as well as in the governorates of Al-Jumum, Al-Kamil, and Bahra on Tuesday, following a rain forecast.
Remote Learning via Madrasati Platform
"Based on what was reported by the National Center of Meteorology and in order to ensure everyone's safety, it has been decided to suspend classes in all schools in the Holy Capital and the governorates of Al-Jumum, Al-Kamil, and Bahra on Tuesday. The classes will be conducted remotely via the Madrasati platform," the department said in a statement.
Umm Al-Qura University Classes Also Suspended
The Umm Al-Qura University also announced the suspension of in-person classes on Tuesday, stating that all classes will be held remotely. This decision is based on the weather forecast from the National Center of Meteorology. The university indicated that the decision applies to the university headquarters, offices, and colleges under its jurisdiction in all governorates of the Makkah region.
Precautionary Measures for Students and Faculty
Students and faculty are advised to stay updated on official announcements and follow safety guidelines during adverse weather conditions. Online learning resources will be made available to ensure uninterrupted education.
