Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO) has granted a prestigious duty-free license for Terminal 1 and the North Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport. This noteworthy contract, awarded to a Joint Venture featuring renowned national and international experts, aims to revolutionize the Duty-Free experience for travelers.

The Joint Venture, comprising Gebr. Heinemann, Jordanian Duty-Free Shops, and The Astra Group, signifies a strategic alliance bringing together top global talent in the Duty-Free industry. This collaboration leverages the expertise of world-class operators alongside a profound understanding of the Saudi Arabian market.

Diverse Offerings:
The consortium is committed to offering an exceptional array of brands across various sectors, including Beauty, Fashion, Accessories, Confectionery, and more. With a 10,000 square meter Duty-Free area, the agreement spans seven years, reflecting a long-term commitment to enhancing the passenger experience at King Abdulaziz International Airport.

By uniting experts with over 30 years of operational experience, the agreement aligns with JEDCO's dedication to positioning King Abdulaziz International Airport as one of the world's largest airports.

The duty-free license aligns with the strategic goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jeddah Airports Company, Eng. Raed Al Medhiam, emphasized the commitment to serving over 114 million passengers, expanding travel destinations to 150, and increasing non-aviation revenues to 45% by 2030.

CEO of Jeddah Airports, Ayman Abuabbah, highlighted the agreement's goal to create a distinctive Duty-Free market, elevating the airport's services to global standards. The move supports the continuous growth in operational activity at King Abdulaziz International Airport and contributes to the strategic goals of the transport and logistics sector in the Kingdom.

Global Expertise:
The collaboration includes Gebr. Heinemann, a German company with a global footprint, and Arab Supply & Trading Company "ASTRA," a Riyadh-based entity with branches in over 11 countries. Jordanian Duty-Free, established in 1997, manages more than 23 shops across strategic locations.
