The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has set the conditions for extending the family visit visa, this came in response to one of the resident's inquiry.
The Saudi Jawazat through its official Twitter account explained that the extension of the family visit visa is done through the host's account on the Absher individuals or Absher businesses platform.
- The Jawazat said that the extension of the visit visa must process 7 days before the expiry of its validity, and that the visitor must have medical insurance as per the specific requirements of the service in order to be able to complete the procedure.
Issuance of Family Visit Visa :
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Saudi Arabia confirmed that the issuance of a family visit visa requires filling out the electronic form through the website of the electronic visa services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and stamping and authenticating it electronically from the Chamber of Commerce, or from the sponsor or employer.
- The ministry added through its "Unified National Platform" website that all data in the form must be entered in the Arabic language, except for the names if the visitor is from non-Arab nationalities and matches their passports, and a valid residence permit for residents.
- The person required is a first-degree relative (Father, Mother, Wife, Husband, Son, Daughter), that the visa applicant holds a work residence and not a dependent for residents.
