After failing to pay rent for four weeks and mail piling up outside their door, police discovered the pair in separate beds of their first-floor Canterbury apartment on June 7 while conducting a welfare check.
'No obvious signs of injury' had been observed on the sisters' bodies for 'some time', according to police.
