The concerned committee in taking all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, headed by the Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajel, highlighted the need to strengthen all efforts from all sides to deal with the developments in the epidemiological situation, and to supervise the commitment of everyone to implement the approved preventive measures, and to complete receiving vaccine doses for members of society.
During the meeting, developments and assessment of the current situation regarding the new mutated strain of the Corona virus 'Omicron', investigation work and genetic sequencing procedures were reviewed.
- The committee also pointed out the need for all members of the society to complete receiving vaccine doses and to follow all precautionary measures, preventive measures and approved protocols, as well as the importance of the sticking of those coming from outside the Kingdom to the instructions related to quarantine and conducting tests for the virus on time, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of all.
- The Ministry also stated that studies have proven the safety, effectiveness and importance of booster doses, given the chances of a decline in the levels of antibodies in the blood, after 6 months of receiving the second dose, which calls for the need to confirm that those who have been 6 months or more since receiving the second dose, quickly receive the booster dose.
- The Interior Ministry also said that starting from 29th Jumada Al-Thani 1443 (February 1, 2022), receiving the booster dose will be considered a condition for the continuation of the appearance of the Immune status in the Tawakkalna application, for everyone who has been 8 months or more since receiving the second dose, for the age groups of 18 years and above.
- Effective from 1st February, The Immune status in Tawakkalna is must for the following.
* For entering any Economic, Commercial, Cultural, Sports or Tourism authority. Read : 100,000 fine for employers for hiring illegal expats
* For entering into any Cultural, Scientific, Social and Recreational event.
* For entering into any governmental or private company, whether to perform business or to Audit.
* For traveling through flights and for using Public Transportation.
- Exceptions are made to the groups 'exempted' from taking the vaccine, according to the status appears in the Tawakkalna application.
- The Interior Ministry highlighted the need for everyone to stick to the precautionary measures, preventive measures and all approved health protocols. The Ministry pointed out that all procedures and measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the competent health authorities, according to the developments in the epidemiological situation.
