Category: Saudi Arabia

In a historic achievement, Saudi Arabia has clinched a world record by inaugurating the planet's highest hanging prayer room, offering breathtaking vistas of the Holy Kaaba, as officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

Elevated at an astounding 483 meters above sea level, this architectural masterpiece presents unparalleled views of the Holy Kaaba and other sacred sites in Makkah.

Situated discreetly within the bridge connecting the twin towers of Address Jabal Omar Makkah Hotel, this Highest Hanging Prayer Room not only stands as a testament to architectural brilliance but also exemplifies the creativity of resourceful architects.

Crafted with the latest innovations and bespoke tools, the 650-ton steel bridge was meticulously assembled 312 meters above ground before being elevated to its final position, seamlessly linking the hotel's towers on floors 36, 37, and 38.

Spanning an expansive 550 square meters, the prayer hall accommodates up to 520 worshippers, harmoniously blending traditional Arabic patterns with contemporary luxury. The interior boasts Arabic calligraphy featuring the names of Allah, enhancing the room's sanctity and showcasing the rich Islamic history.

Those who engage in prayer within this sacred space encounter a peaceful and spiritual experience. During Fajr prayers, worshippers witness the sunrise over Mecca, while at sunset, the mosque is bathed in warm light, creating a serene ambiance.
