The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia has warned of legal procedures against those who violates the government order with regard to lifting of the direct entry ban for fully vaccinated Saudi residents.
GACA in its circular to all airlines operating at Saudi Airports, including private airlines, confirmed that, the issuance of the government decision to remove the suspension of direct entry of immune iqama holders to Saudi Arabia from 13 countries facing travel ban.
- All others who wants to enter Saudi Arabia must spend 14-day quarantine in any third country before their entry into the Kingdo
- The 13 countries which are facing travel ban to Saudi Arabia are India, Pakistan, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
- The Authority stated that the ban for direct entry has been removed only for Saudi residents with iqama and who received two doses of Corona vaccine inside the Kingdom before their departure from Saudi Arabia.
- The GACA added that, Iqama holders shall also comply with all other precautionary measures and health requirements in the Kingdom.
- The circular added that, failure to comply with circulars issued by GACA is a clear violation of government order and legal procedures shall be taken against the violators, who will be held accountable.
