In a significant milestone, Flynas, the premier low-cost airline in the Middle East, inaugurated its latest operations center at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina. To mark the occasion, the airline introduced six new destinations, expanding its reach and strengthening its position as a key player in the aviation industry.

The newly launched routes encompass four international destinations – Dubai, Amman, Istanbul, and Ankara – and two domestic destinations – Abha and Tabuk. These additions complement the existing routes from Madina to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Cairo. As a result, the Madina Operations Center will initially serve a total of 10 Flynas destinations.

This strategic move positions Flynas as the national airline of the Kingdom, boasting four operations centers. Aligned with growth and expansion plans, the opening of the Madina Operations Center aligns with the Pilgrims Service Program's objectives and supports the National Civil Aviation Strategy's aim to connect Saudi Arabia to 250 international destinations, cater to 330 million travelers, and attract 100 million tourists annually by 2030.

Bandar Al-Muhanna, CEO and Managing Director of Flynas, highlighted that the decision to establish the new operations center stems from the increasing number of travelers to Madina, particularly Umrah and pilgrims from various countries. This expansion caters to the preferences of travelers within the Kingdom, offering a broader array of international and domestic destinations.

Flynas has demonstrated remarkable growth, doubling its fleet size in less than two years. Currently serving 10 destinations from the Madina Operations Center, this expansion aligns with the company's overarching growth and expansion plan, encapsulated by the theme "Connecting the World."

A pivotal event in this trajectory was the agreement with Airbus to acquire 30 new A320neo planes last June, marking a significant step in the Kingdom's aviation sector. With over 1,500 flights per week connecting 70+ domestic and international destinations, Flynas has transported over 60 million passengers since its establishment in 2007.

To further align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, Flynas aims to reach a network of 165 domestic and international destinations, solidifying its commitment to providing efficient and accessible air travel services.
