Final Exit Visa In Saudi Arabia: Minimum 30-Day Iqama Validity Required
Category: Expats

Key Requirements for Final Exit Visa Issuance

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has outlined specific rules for issuing final exit visas. It is mandatory for a foreign worker’s residency permit (Iqama) to have at least 30 days of validity remaining to apply for the visa.

Renewal Process for Iqama

Employers and heads of families are urged to renew the Iqama if its validity is less than 30 days. Without renewal, the final exit visa cannot be processed.

Validity-Based Visa Duration

  • If the Iqama’s validity is between 30 and 60 days, the final exit visa will last for the remaining days of validity.
  • If the Iqama’s validity exceeds 60 days, the visa will have a fixed duration of 60 days.

How to Issue the Final Exit Visa

The final exit visa can be issued electronically using the following platforms:

  • Absher and Absher Business
  • Muqeem Portal

This service is free of charge, making it accessible to all employers and heads of families without additional financial burden.

Convenience Through Digital Services

The Ministry of Interior’s electronic platforms, Absher and Muqeem, provide a seamless way to issue final exit visas. The process is designed for efficiency, reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
