Boeing is actively pursuing its second major deal in Saudi Arabia, engaging in talks with startup Riyadh Air, owned by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, to potentially sell at least 150 of its 737 Max jetliners.

Riyadh Air seeks to acquire approximately 300 to 400 single-aisle jets, including options. While negotiations are ongoing and Airbus could also be involved, Boeing's advantage lies in Airbus' limited availability of delivery slots for its A321neo jets until 2029.

The final decision and potential announcement may be made at the Paris Air Show in mid-June. This deal would further solidify Boeing's position in the growing Gulf market.

The earlier agreement covered Boeing's 787 Dreamliners for Riyadh Air's long-range flights.

The potential order for 150 737 Max aircraft could be valued at around $8 billion.

Riyadh Air aims to diversify Saudi Arabia's economy and establish connections to over 100 global destinations by 2030.
