According to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRA), the mandatory fencing of construction sites for residential buildings will go into effect on July 30, 1444 AH, the first day of Muharram.
The barrier shall be temporary and is placed according to the specifications set by the ministry, which, in turn, contributes to addressing several negative phenomena during construction.
In addition to improving the urban landscape, the barrier will reduce visual distortions and increase the cleanliness and beauty of Saudi cities and neighborhoods.
According to the ministry, the decision aims to preserve the right of pedestrians and vehicle owners to move freely.
Additionally, it will protect the property and building materials of the construction party.
Those who wish to fence off their construction sites can check the guide posted on the Baladi website by the ministry.
