Air Luggage Is Prohibited From Carrying 30 Dangerous Items

In an effort to enhance passenger safety, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has released a list of 30 items that are strictly prohibited from being carried in flight baggage. It is crucial for travelers to be aware of these restrictions as any attempt to transport these items will result in confiscation without the right to claim them.

With the Hajj pilgrimage approaching, the airport authorities have issued a special alert to departing pilgrims, urging them not to include any of these dangerous and prohibited items in their luggage. Among the prohibited items, 16 are strictly forbidden from being carried in flight cabins. This category includes items such as knives, compressed gases, toxic liquids, blades, baseball bats, skateboards, explosives, and crackers.

The list of prohibited items extends to firearms, magnetic materials, radioactive or corrosive materials, equipment, nail clippers, shears, meat cleavers, and ammunition.

In addition to these specific items, there is a comprehensive list of 14 dangerous materials that are strictly prohibited from being transported in all baggage. This includes oxidants, organic peroxides, radioactive materials, electric shock devices, disabling devices, automatic skateboards, liquid oxygen devices, as well as toxic or biological materials that can transmit infection. Matches, lighters, and flammable liquids are also part of this category.

It is important for passengers to understand that the airport authorities are committed to enforcing these regulations for the safety and well-being of all travelers. The prohibited items will be confiscated, and passengers will not be able to retrieve them.
