Following the death of her father, an 11-year-old Saudi girl, Hala, collapsed and breathed her last 10 hours after hearing the news.

Al-Arabiya.net reported that people in Majaridah in southern Asir performed funeral prayers together for the deceased father and daughter.

According to Ahmed Hamza Al-Odhaiqi, Hala was emotionally very attached to her father, especially after the sudden death of her mother earlier this year.

Hala lived with her father while he worked as a laboratory assistant at a school in Al-Majaridah. Whenever he traveled, she went with him.

She spent much of her time praying for him to recover from his illness while he was hospitalized. When he was transferred to the intensive care unit after his condition worsened, she was forced to return home.

She collapsed immediately upon hearing the news of her father's death in the hospital. She died within 10 hours of being taken to the hospital after all efforts to resuscitate her failed.

According to Al-Odhaiqi, the child, who was suffering from anemia, became a victim of shock after her father unexpectedly died.

He said that they offered funeral prayers for both of them together, and that they were transported in a single vehicle and buried next to each other.
