For travel outside the Kingdom by third-party car or vehicle, Saudi Arabia's Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has set the necessary procedures.
According to the authority, original forms must be carried and must be valid while traveling, and the driver must be the vehicle's owner.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has also clarified that traveling by a third-party car requires a valid external authorization from the vehicle owner to the driver of the vehicle, as well as meeting the previous requirements for the form's origin.
Saudi Moroor clarified earlier this week that authorization to drive a car outside the Kingdom can be issued online through the Ministry of Interior website only for private vehicles. Other types of vehicles can be registered with the Traffic Department.
In order to drive outside the Kingdom, the registration license and insurance of the vehicle must be valid, the authorized person must be free of traffic violations, and the driver must have a valid driving license. The duration of an external authorization must not exceed six months.
