The Saudia Plane Lands Safely In Karachi After Being Hit By A Bird

When a bird struck the engine of a Saudi Arabian Airlines passenger plane while landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan, it miraculously escaped.
An engine on a Boeing 330 carrying passengers from Jeddah to Pakistan was damaged by a bird on Friday. According to Pakistan's ARY News channel, the pilot managed to land the plane safely.
Saudi Airlines' spokesman said a bird hit engine number 1 on passenger flight SV 700. SV 701 Karachi to Jeddah was canceled, so the aircraft was grounded temporarily while engineers repaired it.
After the airline's management cancelled the next flight, all passengers were sent back to the hotel.
