In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development revealed the worker's rights upon termination of an indefinite contract.
According to the Ministry of Human Resources, a work contract may be terminated due to a project, with written notice explaining the other party must be notified before termination of a specified period in the contract, not less than 60 days if the salary is paid monthly and not less than 30 days otherwise.
According to the Ministry, if the notice period is not followed, then the affected party will be compensated, and when the contract is terminated for an illegal reason, the disturbed party will be compensated as well.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has established a mechanism for reporting non-compliance by companies.
A report of violations of the Labor Law can be submitted through the unified application of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development if salaries are delayed.
