Snapchat Row Leads To Divorce In Saudi Arabia

Saudi newspapers report that a woman filed a divorce lawsuit against her husband for not allowing her to use Snapchat, an instant multimedia messaging app.
According to Al Watan, she explained in her lawsuit that she and her husband had been married for five months, and her husband was aware from day one that she used Snapchat to produce ads.
According to the woman, who is not identified by name, she would not desire to continue the marriage due to the husband's abusive behavior and anger he had towards her for taking pictures for commercials.
According to the paper, a divorce agreement was eventually reached between the couple and the woman was awarded divorce.
