OIC Planning Global Guide On Tolerance

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will launch the first global encyclopedia on tolerance to “highlight the true noble Islam to the world, and fight Islamophobia and extremism.”
“This project is the first of its kind. It originated from the OIC’s belief in the promotion of true and pure Islam,” Dr. Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, OIC secretary-general, told the first meeting of the encyclopedia’s advisory committee held on Wednesday at the secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
The encyclopedia will include verses from the Qur’an and the Prophet’s biography, in addition to publications and digital materials.
