Saudi Arabia is planning to expand the tourism visas which will be issued to visitors.

The Saudi authorities have already relaxed visa issuance procedures for tourists coming from 49 countries in Europe, Asia, and America.

However, they have announced further relaxation to include more tourists who wish to visit Saudi Arabia from different parts of the world.

The relaxed procedures would benefit visitors hailing from other nationalities, holders of tourism or business visas issued by the USA or Britain.

Visitors who do not belong to any of the 49 countries on the list and who hold valid Schengen visas would also be allowed to enter the kingdom.

Tourists benefiting from the relaxed procedures could use the online facility and get a visa on arrival.

However, they are required to provide a return ticket, accommodation booking, professional specification, financial solvency, flight itinerary and addresses in their native countries.

They will also have to fill in visa application forms, provide identity documents and have passports with a minimum of six-month validity, in addition to accredited medical insurance in Saudi Arabia, according to Okaz.
