The Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) has launched the Riyadh Season official seal bearing the Saudi welcoming expression “Asfarat wa anwarat” for tourists arriving at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA).

The launch was carried out in cooperation with the Riyadh Season administration, whose staff were at the airport to witness the stamping in the passport of the first foreign tourist arriving here to attend the Riyadh Season activities, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Sunday.

The seal bears the logo of Riyadh Season in addition to the known Saudi welcoming expression “Asfarat wa anwarat”. The expression here means “Enjoy Riyadh”.

However, tourists can avail of their visas allowing them to visit other places of interest in the Kingdom, e.g. Makkah and Madinah.

Maj. Majed Al-Ahmari, supervisor of the tourist visa works, said that a special team has been constituted comprising Jawazat personnel well versed in several languages to take care of tourists arriving in the Kingdom to attend the Riyadh Season events, aside from acquainting them with the events and providing them with the needed information.

Riyadh Season kicked off on Oct. 11 and will continue till Dec. 15. The season’s events are distributed among 12 zones in Riyadh suiting all categories of visitors.

The season aims to create a difference in the entertainment sector at the world level and to portray the Kingdom as an effective member in this field by benefiting from the events and occasions sector, and operating and managing them as one of the most important and vital industries that will enrich the national economy.
