The Middle East chapter of Indian Overseas Congress announced the members of the newly formed GCC panel of the committee.

Mansoor Palloor, Middle East convener of IOC announced IOC national committee for Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. The IOC national committee was decided by famous inventor, engineer and entrepreneur  Sam Pitroda who himself is a chairman . During a press conference held recently in Dammam, Pitroda announced presidents for GCC nations that included Abdulla Manjeri ( Saudi Arabia); Aloysius Martin (Kuwait), Mohammed Mansoor (Bahrain), and Dr. J. Ratnakumar (Oman).

IOC will work as a department under AICC . Sam Pitroda is the chairman of IOC, Himansu Vyas AICC Gen. Secretary  is in charge of IOC and Arathi Krishna is the secretary of IOC.  Mansour Palloor who is the convener for Middle East emphasized the role of IOC in strengthening Indian National Congress (INC) and added that Indian National Congress believes in an inclusive and prosperous India that does not discriminate on the basis of religion, region, gender, caste, class, race, ethnicity, language, region or creed. The same principles will be followed by IOC and members of IOC. Mansoor requested all secular Indians to join IOC and fulfill the dream of peaceful co-existence and at the same time developing own career in a friendly environment.

As there are large number of Indian diaspora living in GCC countries, state wise committees will be set up which will work under the national committee for smooth coordination. These state wise committees will be working under the guidance of Pradesh Congress Committee for respective states. Indian Overseas Congress will act as an umbrella organization to coordinate the state committees to the center. IOC will enhance social wellbeing, promote cultural activities and empower economic growth of its members through proper programs.

The office bearers for Saudi Arabia include President Abdullah Manjeri; Vice Presidents Talib ur Rahman, Shekhawat Singh, Mohideen Sirajudeeen and Dr. Arshi Malik; General Secretaries Mohammad Ashraf, Qamar Sada and Joseph Palathara; Secretaries Faizal Sherief, Sateesh Bajaj and Nihal Mohammad and Treasurer Alarkan Poothenchery.
