Her doctors discovered the coin during a routine chest X-ray during a routine visit to the hospital after a chest X-ray revealed it was lodged in her upper oesophagus. The girl who was anemic never complained of any stomach pain or short of breath and never told her parents that she swallowed the coin.
Four days after surgery, the patient was discharged from the hospital. She is now in good health condition.
