It has been announced by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia that the Umrah season for those coming from outside the Kingdom on an Umrah visa ends on 30th Shawwal 1443 (31st May 2022).
The Ministry of Hajj responded to a question regarding the deadline for Umrah bookings ahead of this year's Hajj season.
In coordination with the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the last date for applying for and getting an Umrah visa for people coming from abroad is 15th Shawwal.
The Kingdom is gearing up to receive Muslims from abroad to attend the annual Hajj pilgrimage for the first time in the last two years.
After Saudi authorities lifted most restrictions related to Corona virus, more than 5 million Muslims performed Umrah pilgrimage since the start of Ramadan.
This year Saudi Arabia will receive one million pilgrims for Hajj pilgrimage, of which 850,000 will come from outside the Kingdom and 150,000 will come from inside.
This year's Hajj pilgrimage is open to those who are under 65 years of age and who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 by the Ministry of Health. Within 72 hours of departing for Kingdom, pilgrims must submit a negative PCR test result of Covid-19.
