Hails Stones Lash Hafr Al Baten

Hailstones and strong winds lashed the region of Hafr Al Baten in Saudi Arabia which caused damages to vehicles and properties.
Pictures showing big-size hailstones were posted on social media websites, along with cars whose windowpanes were smashed.
Saudi meteorologist Abdulla Al Osaimi said that that the region of Al Khafaji was lashed by a similar storm of hailstones and violent winds 37 years ago – that is in October 1982.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Meteorology Authority issued a weather bulletin warning of torrential rain, strong winds and hailstones.
A number of damaged educational and academic institutions will close their doors today for students’ safety.
