Five Erring Umrah Companies Have Their Licenses Revoked By The Hajj Ministry
Category: Saudi Arabia

A ministry announcement announced on Wednesday that five Umrah service providers had their licenses revoked for not fulfilling their obligations towards Umrah pilgrims and for violating the rules governing Umrah services.

All legal measures were taken against the erring companies, and they were referred to the competent authority to examine their violations and impose appropriate penalties.

According to the ministry, it receives all comments and complaints regarding the services and facilities for pilgrims and responds to them immediately to ensure that their pilgrimage is unique and enriching. Services provided to pilgrims must meet the highest quality standards so that they can perform their rituals easily and comfortably, emphasizing that it will not show any leniency toward those who fail to do so.

From Thursday, July 14, the ministry began receiving requests to issue visas to pilgrims from outside the Kingdom. Through the Eatmarna application, domestic and foreign pilgrims can book and obtain permits for Umrah. After the annual Hajj pilgrimage season, the new Umrah season will open to pilgrims from within and outside the Kingdom on July 30.

Details about the requirements for issuing an Umrah visa can be found at the ministry's website: https://haj.gov.sa/ar/InternalPages/Umrah.
