According to Ahmed Suleiman Al-Rajhi, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), a decision has been made to Saudize a number of professions and activities in the entertainment industry, with the objective of creating jobs for the Kingdom's young people.

As of 23rd September 2022 (27/02/1444), the Minister of MHRSD issued a decision to localize independent and seasonal entertainment cities and family entertainment centers by 70% and to settle entertainment cities within closed commercial complexes by 100%.

We will integrate our efforts with our partners at the Entertainment Authority to issue a decision to localize a number of activities and professions in the country's entertainment sector.

Saudi Arabia's aim with the decision is to provide stimulating and productive job opportunities to its sons and daughters in various regions of the Kingdom and to raise their contribution to the labor market.

The Ministry said the most prominent professions targeted in the Saudization of Entertainment sector are

* Branch Manager

* Department Manager

* Department Supervisor

* Assistant Branch Manager

* Accounting Fund Supervisor

* Customer Service

* Sales specialist

* Marketing Specialist

3 jobs excluded from Saudization in Entertainment Sector :

While the decision excluded three professions in the entertainment sector, namely, cleaning workers, loading and unloading workers, and operators of quality games that require competence and specialized certificates.

As a result, the Ministry issued a procedural guide to inform companies and employers on how to calculate Saudization and impose penalties for violations.
