Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia: Nine people, including a father, mother and their five children, were killed when two vehicles collided on a major road in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, according to traffic authorities.

The tragic crash occurred on the Al Uqair–Al Uyun road in Al Ahsa governorate, involving two vehicles that sustained extensive damage in the collision.

Seven Members of One Family Killed

Seven members of one family travelling in the first vehicle lost their lives in the crash. The victims included the father and mother, three sons and two daughters.

Two young men travelling in the second vehicle also died in the collision, bringing the total number of fatalities to nine.

Authorities Respond to the Crash

The Eastern Province Traffic Department said its teams responded immediately to the accident. Preliminary findings indicated that the crash may have occurred following a sudden swerve.

Civil Defence and Saudi Red Crescent rescue teams were also dispatched to the scene. Rescue personnel worked to extricate victims who were trapped inside the severely damaged vehicles.

Authorities said the necessary legal procedures were being completed following the incident.
