Saudi Arabia's Thar and Habouna governorates in the southern Najran region drowned three boys and one young man in two separate incidents.
Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Emir of Najran, has ordered an investigation into the tragic events. A personal investigation was conducted into the circumstances leading to the drowning incidents.
In Al Rahba village in the Thar governorate, three boys drowned while swimming in a swamp. In a tweet, the Civil Defense said that two of the three had died and that their bodies had been retrieved. The young man drowned in Wadi Arkan in Habouna province.
The bereaved family members of the victims were offered sincere condolences by Prince Jalawi. Regarding the harsh weather and heavy rain experienced in various parts of Najran, he stressed the importance of following the instructions and warnings issued by the Civil Defence.
