The Saudi Arabian Zakat Tax and Customs Authority announced the reopening of the Al-Durah port in the Haql Governorate of the Tabuk area, following the completion of maintenance work that forced the port's closure on Sunday, December 26th.
The administration stated on its website that the port would begin delivering services to all travellers, importers, and exporters beginning today, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 12:00 noon Saudi time.
- The authorities also stated that the port's maintenance work was completed 100 percent of the time during the closure phase, well ahead of the projected reopening date. With ongoing collaboration and coordination from all parties working in the port, it has been equipped to accommodate tourists.
- Following the closure of the Al-Durah port, the government advised passengers from Saudi Arabia and Jordan to use the "Halet Ammar" port in the Tabuk region or the Haditha port in the Kingdom's Al-Jawf district. As those two ports serve all arrivals and departures to and from the Kingdom, as well as those intending to import, sell, or transit the country.
