Saudi Arabia has amended its work system regulations regarding the Founding Day holiday.
In a statement released on Friday, Ahmed Al-Rajhi announced that the ministry had modified the executive regulations of the labor system following Ministerial Decision No. 70273 dated 04/11/1440 AH.
In the ministry's decision, Paragraph 4 of the clause and Paragraph 2 of Article 24 were amended to read: The National Day or the Founding Day with the holiday for one of the two Eids does not compensate the worker for this day.
A worker is not eligible for compensation if either Eid Al-Fitr or Eid Al-Adha falls on the National Holiday or Founding Day when the two Eids coincide.
In addition, another amendment has been made by adding paragraph No. 4 of the clause and paragraph 1 of Article 24, to be as follows: the Founding Day holiday lasts for one day, on the 22nd of February of the Gregorian calendar.
The amendment decision will be implemented on Friday, Feb. 18, Al-Rajhi confirmed, adding that the deputy minister should take all necessary steps to implement this change.
