Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution prohibits the commission of illegal acts on board flights that involve physical violence, hitting, slapping, harassment, or other acts contrary to public morals.
The prosecution clarified that these acts are punishable by a fine of half a million riyals (500,000 SR) or imprisonment for five years.
The Public Prosecution stated on its official Twitter account: "It is prohibited on board of civil aviation to commit physical violence, assault, harassment, or practices contrary to public morality against a passenger or member of the crew."
- These acts constitute major crimes and are punishable by prison for up to 5 years, or by a fine of up to five hundred thousand riyals for those who violate them.
