Saudi Arabia's General Commission for Audio-Visual Media has slapped two famous female Snapchat stars with a fine of SR 400,000 for posting a video that offends a friendly country.
Snapchat influencers were summoned after they posted a video seen as offensive to a friendly country. The names of the influencers and the name of the country were not revealed by the commission.
Publishing content that harms the Kingdom's relations with friendly countries is forbidden by law.
Media content must adhere to the commission's rules and regulations. The commission urged the public to report violations of the rules.
