Saudi Public Prosecution Warns Against Dropping Or Insulting National Flag And Reveals its Penalty
Category: Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution has warned everyone against disrespecting the Saudi National Flag, the Royal flag, or any other sign of the Kingdom, whether in public or in a public place or a place open to the public, in any way.

Those who commit any of these acts may be sentenced to up to a year in jail and fined up to 3,000 Saudi riyals.

The Prosecution explained that the kingdom's flag and the royal flag were appreciated and respected, and in their center, there is the Shahadah, "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

The public prosecution said that the royal flag matches the national flag in its description and is embroidered with the state emblem, which is two crossed swords topped by a palm tree, in the lower corner adjacent to the flag stick.

Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution issued a warning as a reminder, as the Kingdom will celebrate Saudi Founding Day on 22nd February with Saudi national flags decorating the streets and cities.
