Saudi prosecutors have interrogated a person who verbally abused female military police officers in a video clip circulated on social media, an official source at the Public Prosecution said.
The source added the monitoring centre in the Public Prosecution documented the abuse of the man, and subsequently an arrest warrant was issued, pursuant to articles 15 and 17 of the Criminal Procedures Law.
“Law enforcement officers relied extensively on digital evidence for important information about both victims and suspect to develop leads and solve the crime,” the source said.
The source emphasised the Public Prosecution will not be negligent in holding accountable and criminalising all those who abuse security forces or diminish the efforts of the security services.
